Overflow Feature

This kettle has an overfill / overflow feature. There is an overflow channel so that if you overfill the kettle the water will runs out and be released BELOW the electric contacts instead of boiling out of the lid.

If you overfill the kettle water will drip out of the bottom as you carry it away from the tap. IT IS NOT LEAKING. This is an overflow safety feature. DO NOT overfill this or any other kettle.
