Cabanon Stratos Trailer Tent

The striking Cabanon Stratos trailer tent is a ground breaking concept in the trailer tent market and for more than one reason. For a start it's the first time a trailer tent manufacturer has adopted a dome shaped awning and canopy over a rigid alloy frame. The new dome style of the Stratos gives it a contemporary look that will no doubt prove popular with new comers.

Authors note: Some of the images used to demonstrate each of the Cabanon trailer tents under sections; 'Key Features' and 'Accessories' may differ in colour and specification to the actual models. Many of these images are in fact omitted from the current Cabanon brochure, although the brochure offers a more realistic representation.

Stratos Features

Two large and comfortable 2-berth bedrooms (145 x 210cm), which provide greater than
average headroom, and have ventilated windows and outside flaps to the side and front, providing views into the living area. The standard model is supplied with cabin roof lining and curtains and removable mattress and seat covers. A jockey wheel, spare wheel and spare wheel carrier are also included as standard. The strong steel trailer body, has built-in drawers and locker storage and a fully galvanised chassis. Brakes are available as an option.

Stratos Awning Features

The 3.5m deep enclosed awning lounge area has 3 large ventilated windows, with outside protective flaps and internally-zipped privacy flaps. The awning has a fixed 2.0m sun canopy at the front - to which an optional sun canopy may also be fitted. The awning front panel can be completely rolled away to provide a huge entrance to the awning. The awning is detachable and enables the sleeping part of the trailer tent to be used on its own. This is particularly useful for overnight stays. The curved walls of the awning and canopy are designed to flex, providing excellent resistance to cross winds. Integral to the unique style of the Stratos is a useful fixed front sun canopy, which may be extended further by fitting an optional zip-on Sun Canopy.

In addition to its unique shape the awning comes complete with a strong PVC groundsheet, which when pegged and zipped onto the awning base, provides a fully enclosed lounge and living area completely protected from the elements and uninvited wildlife. The tough PVC groundsheet is easily removed for routine cleaning.
