Sikaflex 252 is a high quality, elastic one compound polyurethane adhesive which is suitable for structural joints which are under dynamic stress.
This product is commonly used in the caravan and motorhome industry for installing aluminium awning brackets to metal campervan / van body's, fixing solar panels to vans and caravans and installing awning rails.
The 252 is used with metals, metal primers, paint coatings and timber products. It has a very high bonging strength, vibration damping and can be painted over.
Sikaflex®-252 can be applied between 10 °C and 35 °C (climate and product should be at the same temperature). However, at lower temperatures Sika is more viscous (thicker) making it harder to squeeze from the tube. This can make it more difficult to get an even bead when applying the product. In hotter and more humid conditions Sika 252 forms a surface skin more quickly giving you less time to install and secure the parts to be fixed.
The temperature for substrate and adhesive is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
When applying this product surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and other contaminants.
Sikaflex®-252 can be applied between 10 °C and 35 °C (climate and product) but changes in reactivity and application properties have to be considered. The optimum temperature for substrate and adhesive is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
