X-FLEX FIBREGLASS POLES - 5 year warranty

The SunnCamp X-Flex shatterproof pole system provides all the advantages of a fibreglass pole but with the strength of steel. -Flex poles have been tested these poles to destruction and have concluded that under normal camping loads they will not break.

The poles have a further advantages. When fibreglass poles break they splinter creating thousands of dangerously sharp shards which can damage the flysheet of your tent and get into your fingers. X-Flex poles have a strong PP sheath that, in the event of a pole breaking, do not allow any splinters to touch the tent or fingers. This sheath will normally hold the pole together in a good enough condition to allow you to continue with your holiday and then change the broken pole section at your leisure.

DURAWRAP POLES

Many of SunnCamp tents use the latest in pole innovation - Durawrap poles. Durawrap poles utilise a unique technology that wraps the longitudinal fibres in a woven sheath. This sheath gives the poles added strength and flexibility and also reduces splintering, greatly increasing the long term durability of the poles.

FIBREGLASS POLES

The fibreglass poles used by Sunncamp are carefully selected to suit the design of each tent. They are high quality and are shocked corded together to make assembly child's play.

ALUMINIUM POLES

Many of our tents include aluminium poles in their design. The aluminium we use is high quality and suits perfectly the style and function of our dome, tunnel and APS tents. Other brands use steel poles but these are heavy and normally start to go rusty after the first use, often leaving rusty marks on the flysheet or inner tent. Aluminium poles do not rust and ensure that the tent is still light enough to lift and transport.

ZIPS

The most used and abused part of any tent. All SunnCamp tents come with strong self-repairing zips on all openings. Compare the size of our zips with other tent brands and you'll see the difference.

WEATHERTEC FEATURES

SUNNTEX

One of our latest fabrics. Sunntex is a cotton and polyester mix with a special coating. It is particularly resistant to UV in sunlight and should be a consideration if you intend to pitch your tent for extended periods or in exceptionally hot and sunny climes. A tent made in Sunntex will also be cooler during hot weather and should prove more durable over the years. Currently available in the Galaxy.

SUNNTEC WEATHERPROOF SYSTEM

All Sunncamp tent fly sheets are made in specially coated polyester taffeta called SunnTec. We have proved that this advanced fabric is stronger and more resistant against the weather and the ultra violet in the sun's rays. Investing in a Sunncamp tent will bring long term benefits over an ordinary nylon tent.

VENTILATION

Essential in a tent, all SunnCamp models have ventilation panels to keep air circulating helping prevent condensation. Our bigger tents have large vent panels built into the side walls. Before buying a tent ensure that these panels can be zipped shut in inclement weather, simple Velcro fastenings just won't do the job leaving you and your family exposed to the elements. TAPED SEAMS

All possible flysheet seams are hot air taped during the manufacturing process making them more weather resistant.

COMFORT ZONE FEATURES

HEAT REFLECTIVE GROUNDSHEETS

All the SunnCamp tents come complete with our latest heat reflective groundsheet. The upper side is aluminium coated to reflect back some of the heat normally lost to the ground. All inner tent groundsheets are "bath tub" style for maximum protection against wet ground. All models come with groundsheets for the living or porch area as standard (except Day Room).

INNER TENTS

All Sunncamp inner tents are fully enclosed units with sewn in groundsheets. They are breathable, for comfort, and all have ventilation protected by mosquito mesh screens. All Sunncamp inner tents feature at least one internal storage pocket and some tents have a gear loft in the apex.

WINDOWS

It's because we use our tents that we appreciate the features that go towards making a good tent great. There is nothing worse than not being able to see what is happening in the outside world and this is why Sunncamp tents come with plenty of windows. If you're worried about your privacy all windows come complete with a roll back curtain flap.

ROOFLIGHTS

Most SunnCamp tents now feature rooflights, allowing natural light to brighten the living area. Several types of rooflight are used depending upon the style of tent.

SECONDARY MESH DOORS

All Sunncamp inner tents have a secondary mesh door. This normally sits on the outside of the normal door enabling this inner tent door to be opened, for ventilation, whilst keeping out troublesome insects.

CANOPY POLES

Family sized tents, where appropriate, come complete with canopy poles to allow a door panel to be used as a canopy on sunny days.

CABLE ENTRY

Provides entry into the tent for use of 240v power supply, no longer necessary to leave the tents door partially open for cables to pass into tent.

QUICKPITCH FEATURES

GUYLINES

Where possible, SunnCamp tents have their guylines pre-attached at the factory to reduce the initial set up time. The guying points on our tents are carefully designed to spread the load and support the poles. We use high visibility fluorescent guy line to help prevent tripping accidents.

COLOUR CODED INNER TENT SUSPENSION

This colour-coded system makes it easier to install the inner tents on tents that pitch flysheet first.

ADJUSTABLE TENSIONING STRAPS

Forget about struggling with your tent poles, all larger Sunncamp tents feature adjustable tension straps. Loosen them to insert the pole and then tighten to create the perfect tent. Another great idea from SunnCamp.

COLOUR CODED POLES

SunnCamp tents are designed to be easy to pitch and come with full instructions. Where necessary, tents have colour coded poles and pole sleeves to ensure you place the correct pole in the correct sleeve every time.
