PROUD TO HAVE EQUIPPED OVER 3000 LEADING EXPEDITIONSThe great and the good, from Doug Scott to Alan Hinkes and many more famous names in between continue to use Force Ten. By forging long-term partnerships between the world's greatest mountaineers Force Ten have continually met their demands and provided leading edge designs to match increasingly more difficult objectives. To achieve this Force Ten have developed new materials and revolutionary rucsacs, sleeping bags and tents - never sitting back on the laurels achieved from supplying over 3000 expeditions for almost forty years. Consequently Force Ten has a unique pedigree that is stamped on every one of its designs. The attention to detail and well thought out features are greatly appreciated by backpackers, mountain marathon runners, adventurers, climbers and explorers who enjoy the extremes and understand the advantages associated to using the best. Not just design for design sake but practical solutions to age old problems ensures that the Force Ten range is reason enough to go to high, cold and remote places, the type of places a couch potato would consider plain madness. So if you don't enjoy all that the world has to offer and prefer planting spuds to digging snow holes or watching a soap opera to watching the sunset from the Cuillin ridge, or catching the first train to work rather than a first ascent on a Himalayan peak - read no further. SPECIFIED FABRICS WITH EXTRA SPECIFICATIONSHytex SPU-Xtreme incorporates a 70D nylon yarn with a high 210T-thread count, is exceptionally strong and durable for the harshest climates and high altitude mountaineering. Hytex SPU-SL66 combines strong 30D nylon 6.6 yarn, to a very high 250T-thread count to be probably the worlds finest lightweight fabric. But not content with that Force Ten have added a silicon Elastomer on the outer as a barrier to UV degradation and to enhance the fabric's inherent water repellency and increase tear strength even further. On the inside of the fabric Force Ten have also applied a Polyurethane coating to bond and to seal the seems. For Force Ten tents that are required to be work horses, rather than steeple chasers Force Ten have used Hytex Super Dura - polyester with reduced stretch, a higher UV resistance and exceptional colourfastness. Multiple coats of polyurethane to create a waterproof exterior and a water-repellent internal finish have also been applied. By using continuous pole sleeves the designs have been stabilised by maximising contact between pole and canopy. By using Fast-Fit Clip attachments between inner tent and pole in combination with pole sleeves saves further weight and offers free air-flow for maximum ventilation whilst the Fast-Fit Clip attachments speeds set-up, which in a harsh environment, can be vital. Utilising two forms of ripstop nylon (70D and 30D) to achieve an optimum strength-to-weight ratio the inner tent fabrics are treated with water-repellent coating to help disperse rain during set-up. Groundsheets are 70D 210T HD Nylon but by varying the thickness of the waterproof PU coating or using 'multi-pass' applications Force Ten achieve the preferred balance between weight and durability. On the F10 HQ, Super-HD Oxford Nylon is used for prolonged life. ATTENTION TO DETAIL THAT EVEN INCLUDES PEGSF10 Alloy pegs are superlite, stronger and more durable. To create an optimum balance the three designs are tailored to the requirements of the anchor points. Y-pegs are immensely strong and used where there will be the greatest force, U-pegs are lighter, perfect for use in less demanding conditions, whilst pin pegs have minimal weight for when resistance is less. |

UNRIVALLED STABILITY IN ALL WEATHERS - VORTEX WIND TUNNEL TESTED TO 130KPHThe Force Ten Fly-Support-System (FSS) removes the weakest link of any tent and increases the ability to withstand side winds. By adding the unique Tri-Support-System Force Ten have combined the stability of the triangle to the aerodynamic profile and space of the geodesic, achieving new benchmarks against the harshest conditions known to man. Separate living and storage areas, large enough to house climbers and modern high altitude mountaineers attempting the most difficult objectives. For safety and convenience they feature double doors and entry from either end whilst achieving ultimate weight-to-space ratio. |
