The differences between the canister brands is mainly availability
Alta Gas also known as Flogas is only refillable in and around the manchester area, but as such is cheaper to buy than other canisters. Recommended more for local barbeques than camping.
Calor is widely available all across the uk and due to the varying sizes in canisters can be used for small scale camping with the 4.5kg. The 7kg and 13kg canister are also good for carvans as well as bbqs and long term camping. If you already own a calor bottle and wish to have it refilled you only pay the refill charge.
Campingaz is the only canister that is not just widely available all over the uk but can be found all over europe as well. Great for camping trips to spain, germany and france. |
