(News archive - January 23rd 2009)
Showtime, the tent, trailer and folding camper spectacular is coming to Manchester this February and this year’s show promises to be the biggest to date with not only huge savings, but camping from all over Europe.
Set up by the camping equipment specialists, Camperlands, the show is now in its seventh year, and is set to run from February 1 until February 28, featuring a huge selection of trailer tents, including the world’s best - the Camp-Let from Denmark.
Dominic Ryder, Managing Director of Camperlands, the Manchester based firm who offer trailer tents, tents, motorhome equipment and caravan accessories, said, “We are really excited about the forthcoming show. We have been in the business now for 40 years and as you can imagine we have been to every camping equipment show out there, but to have your own show is a great achievement.
“Every year the show attracts thousands of avid campers all looking to find the very latest designs at a fraction of the price. This year is certainly no exception as there are savings of up to £1800 up for grabs.”
Offering over a hundred different mixed trailer tents and campers at savings of up to 50 per-cent, ex display stock from Pennine, Cabanon, Conway, Camp-Let, Trigano and Combi-Camp are some of the well known brands on sale at this year’s event, with many new European designs being introduced to shoppers.
Newcomers at this year’s show include the Campmaster from Holland, a highly desirable hard top trailer tent, which is as lightweight as it is compact for easy transportation to and from the campsite. With free parking and free admittance, there really is no excuse for having a look at what this year’s event has in store, and now that we are officially in recession, it’s time to make alternative options for this year’s annual holiday.
Showtime will be running from February 1-28 at the Camperlands site, Mill Lane, Northenden, Manchester, for more information please contact Camperlands on 0161 998 8523.
About Camperlands
Camperlands Ltd was founded by the late and much missed Mike and Peggy Ryder in 1968. The original concept was to hire frame tents out in the summer season to generate some extra income for their growing family. Their first season lasted 6 weeks during the summer school holidays and was run from the back garden of the family home. It was a resounding success, which gave the Ryder's the confidence to begin tent sales along with camping equipment and caravan accessories. The business grew and the following year relocated onto a garage forecourt, where all the tent displays had to be erected and dismantled every day. So in 1970 the company moved to its present premises, this gave Mike and Peggy Ryder the space and security required to begin creating the purpose built open-air camping and leisure exhibition that exists today.
Today there are quite literally thousands of caravan, camping and motorhome accessories in stock, with several covered display areas dedicated to trailer tents, tents and folding campers.
