| 1. HOW EASY IS IT TO
FIT A FIAMMA AWNING? |
| This will depend on your
own ability and confidence levels. If the vehicle is
within its warranty period we would recommend you contact
your dealer regarding fitting, they may insist that
the awning is fitted by them to comply with the terms
of the warranty.
The standard awning installation kit supplied relies
on the premise that the awning is to be installed directly
to the side wall of the vehicle, special pre-drilled
installation brackets (normally 3) are bolted through
the body of the vehicle and provide a hook profile,
which slots into the back of the awning. The fear of
drilling holes into a much loved motorhome usually is
enough to separate those who are able to undertake fitting
and those who'd rather leave it to someone else. There
are a number of optional installation kits available,
should the standard kit not be of use.
|
| 2. WHERE CAN I HAVE
MY FIAMMA AWNING FITTED? |
| There are few options I'm
afraid and those who do offer an awning fitting service
usually insist that you purchase the awning from them,
this often results in paying more for the awning than
if you had carried out the installation yourself.
If you live in the Greater Manchester area or are willing
to travel and would like your awning fitted please telephone
0161 9023026 for details. Standard fitting is usually
£85.00 and is available at weekends only.

| 3. WHICH AWNING DO I
NEED? |
| The style and size of awning
you require will partly be determined by the motorhome
you own and partly by your own personal requirements.
You may require the use of front and side panels to
construct an sun room, which may also be converted into
an additional bedroom in the evening. The motorhome
or camper vans length will to some extent dictate the
length of the awning that can be fitted, although other
factors may restrict the permitted length further. The
Fiamma Zip awning is supplied complete with front and
side panels, the side panels zip to the top vinyl fabric
and the front panel, to form a complete waterproof room.
If you would like to purchase a canopy only the Fiamma
F45i/L is probably the awning for you, there are 8 awning
lengths from 2.50m up to 6.00m.
It is probably best that you give us a call to discuss
you requirements if you are unsure about the style and
size of awning you would like.

| 4. HOW DO I ENSURE I
ORDER THE CORRECT SIZE? |
| Fiamma Privacy
Panels
There are 3 important measurements to consider
when deciding which size of Privacy Room you require.
The first is the overall length of the awning
(C), the projection of the awning canopy (B) and
the height from the ground to the underside of
the awning (A). If you purchase post 2004 Privacy
Rooms (white fabric) measurement (B) is not required
as the side panels fit all awning projections.
Once you have these 3 measurements you will be
able to order successfully from our online store.
Fiamma ZIP
In order to purchase the correct size of Zip there
are 2 important measurements to establish; the
overall length of awning required (C) and the
proposed mounting height of the awning (A). It's
important to establish as accurately as possible
where the awning is going to be fitted, so the
side panels sit on the floor correctly.

| 5. HOW STRONG IS THE
FIAMMA AWNING IN POOR WEATHER? |
| This will depend on whether
or not the awning has a full awning enclosure (sun blockers
do not apply) fitted at the time. A full awning enclosure
undoubtedly increases the overall strength and stability
of a Fiamma awning when used, as it prevents strong
winds from entering under the canopy and lifting the
awning. Also the additional roof/leg supports provided
increase stability to the structure. The pegging points
provided on the awnings mudwall also help to anchor
the awning down during windy conditions.
If the Fiamma awning canopy is installed without an
awning enclosure (such as Zip or Privacy room) during
heavy weather conditions we recommend that you roll
the awning back in; this takes only a couple of minutes
to do. During light rain simply drop one of the awning
legs down to provide enough of a pitch for the rain
water to run away. Many people use Fiamma Tie-Down Kits
to anchor the awning down but it's important to respect
the limitations of such an system and acknowledge that
sometimes it will be necessary to simply pack the awning
away. We also recommend the use of the optional Fiamma
roof rafter poles, which retail between £20.00
and £30.00 depending on awning model.

| 6. ARE SPARES READILY
AVAILABLE FOR FIAMMA AWNINGS? |
| Fiamma spares are available
throughout the product range and in the case of awnings,
are available for models which are over 10-years old!
